Blogspot Unblocked

The PTA has yet again decided to unblock all blogs located on the blogspot domain, we proceed with caution and simply watch and see if this is a permanent change or just a temporary relief till they resume the blocking all over again.

Attached is a Trace Route of a Blogspot Blog that verifies the unblocked status – Traceroute 10th Aug 2006

This is the third time the ban has been lifted previously the ban was resumed after a relief of a 2-3 days

  1. Blogspot Ban Lifted – 2nd May 2006

Somebody should tell PTA and PTC that China and Singapore have the technology that helps them block individual blogs, instead of the whole website. Thus, they can block the offensive blog with blasphemous sketches and leave us alone.
Freedom of expression is not just for paper and electronic media but also for bloggers. If they can survice despite criticising the government every day, why can’t we when do not do that. We are being punished for the sin of some foreigner somewhere. Under the law, nobody can be punished unless proven guilty.
